Giraffage Moments
Peep the opening track off Giraffage’s fantastic immersion into the world of new wave electronic pop, aptly titled “Moments.” This song is just so luscious. I want to eat this track with a spoon, and then I want to eat some more.
With diverse samples complexly layered to create a dense, richness to his sound, Giraffage is able to set himself apart from the thrones of artists lumped into this “electro/pop/experimental/chillwave” genre. He sampled Minus The Bear’s “Absinthe Party At The Fly Honey Warehouse.” for this track, and I have to admit, ten years later, that song is still a fave.
But don’t stop at the first song, from start to finish you can’t help but get caught up in the Giraffage moment. Charlie Yin’s debut album, Comfort is just that. Take it in and get lost in it.
