Our boy from down under just released a remix EP to accompany his 2011 debut, Dreams. The remix above is my favorite from the Dreams Remixed. It delicately tinkers away at fundamental structure of the song the while still maintaining the beautiful fragility of the original. Other notable remixes include Geoffrey O’ Connors and MONAS remixes of “Embrace,” and Magic Silver White Hands remix of “I Love You.” All of the remixes are fellow artists on Sydney-based label Yes Please Records.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to dig into Oliver Tank’s 2011 release, you are missing out. He’s like an Australian James Blake who creates enchanting, down tempo electronica that you can’t help but fall in love with.
