Jessie Ware + Disclosure + Beau Bonus Track
Me: Hey, so…um, can we talk about what happened last night?
Bro: Oh you mean Jessie Ware and Disclosure dropping two of 2012’s biggest tracks within minutes of each other?
Me: Yeah, I just wanted to talk to you about it, ya know, and make sure we were on the same page. I mean, I know it’s been a while, but I really like what’s happening here, so thought we should talk about it…
Instead of just regurgitating tweets and Facebook dribble like some rabid monkey in 28 Days Later all infected with rage and shit, I thought I would sit you all down like the adults you are and let you know what’s up.
Two of the UK’s most promising acts Jessie Ware, and Disclosure both released some serious heat in the form of new tunes in the past 24 hours. The last time we heard from these up-and-comers was earlier this year with Jessie Ware’s 'Running.' and Disclosure’s fantastic remix of the track. The future of music was revealed in a very big way yesterday based to the already overwhelming response to these new tracks. 2012 is looking fine as hell, so hope you brought you’re A game.
London’s leading lady Jessie Ware’s new gem ‘110%’ is Adele powerful but much more delicate and playful. The track was produced by labelmate Julio Bashmore, and has anthem of the year written all over it.
The duo that made headways with their Joy Orbison-esque 2-step rhythms and fresh take on UK garage, Disclosure, dropped a new number featuring London singer Sinead Harnett and has a housey, perfect party jam vibe, with an undeniable SBTRKT quality to it. This is quite possibly my favorite jam of 2012 so far.
Are these new tracks being released at the same time, a coincidence, or some really slick PR foreshadowing for some awesome collabs dropping in the near future? I’ll guess we’ll have to wait and see. Good thing you’ve got some greatness to tide you over.
BONUS: If you’re like me, and still hungry for more. One of the Disclosure bro’s, has a side project that burrowed through the underground scene just under a year ago. This track is loud, danceworthy and fantastic. Check it.
