The man behind the super dope electronic focused music blog Live For The Funk has embarked on a new music endeavor of epic proportions. Inspired by a dream ending in loneliness, Jonathan Abramson recorded a three song demo that cuts right to the essence of solitude.
Think of this three track as the prequel to 2003’s Lost In Translation Soundtrack with heavy Kevin Shields, Squarepusher, Air and Death In Vegas influences.
Between You and Me uses swirling samples that mirror the massive feel of a metropolitan city like Tokyo, where you can be surrounded by millions of people and still feel more isolated than ever. This is one of those projects that helps you float between day dream and reality. Bill Murray would dig for sure.
Stay tuned for a fleshed out version of these tracks in the form of an EP dropping soon.

Thanks to Antlered Pigeons I have a new favorite jam. For an anonymous bedroom project, this is fucking excellent. Watch, we’ll find out in a week that the project was produced by LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, Thom Yorke played the tambourine on this track, and his guy’s uncle is Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine. Just sayin’, this track is pretty damn catchy…
