Lianne La Havas Lost and Found Lapalux + Gang Colours Remixes

Truth be told, I would never have listened to Lianne La Havas if I hadn’t heard the Shlohmo remix of her track “Forget” that dropped back in January. Since signing to Warner Bros in 2010, Lianne La Havas has spent most of 2011 refining her sound, wooing audiences on Jools Holland and closing out the year as tour support for Bon Iver. Being named “One To Watch” by just about every outlet in the UK including BBC before her debut album has even dropped there is a lot riding on her July 9th album release.
This month La Havas has caught my attention again with the release of two remixes of her debut single, remixes and two new tracks gearing up to drop on April 30th. Watch the video for the ‘Lost & Found’ below.

Following in the Shlohmo footsteps of sticking with what’s hot in electronic music, this time keeping it in the UK family, Warner Bros enlisted two legendary label’s brightest stars, Brownswood Recordings' Gang Colours and Brainfeeder’s Lapalux to remix “Lost & Found.” Both are very different and really explore the nuances of Lianne’s voice. I dig.

Warner Brothers’s Nonesuch Records will release Lianne La Havas’s Lost & Found on 4/30/12, pre-order HERE.
