oOoOO Our Loving Is Killing Us First Impressions + Coach Bagg
The follow up to oOoOO’s fantastic 2010 debut EP is out this week. The tides have changed quite a bit since the elusive producer has surfaced onto the scene. I guess the question now is if oOoOO will prove to still be a force to be reckoned with. Since his last release we’ve seen a shift away from hip hop heavy beats and samples, witchy accents and draggy, female vocals. Not to mention oOoOO’s label itself has even moved onto greener pastures with the introduction of Evian Christ. Is Christoper Greenspan just a case of being the first to do it, and do it well? Or will he evolve beyond the rolling ether of darkness and into the futuristic breaks and new crowd of electronic bass producers on the rise?

For an album that was barely promoted and no plans to tour coming up, maybe this is oOoOO’s transition period and a way to stall before dropping the real heat? Maybe this bro just likes to smoke a ton of weed and sometimes make music. For as hot as Greenspan’s first single, ‘No Way Back’ is, so far I’m a little disappointed.

For now check out the lil’ teaser oOoOO dropped yesterday, which is catchy and kind of playful and funny but a bit dated. I didn’t know girls still yearned for Coach bags. More to come on my favorite witch hop producer.
